The Multi-plane Wheel Rig built for shot 19 which features a floating shark and fish.
So upon shooting this we realized that it kind of looks like the puppy’s peeing hi pants. being that this isn’t a comedy, we thought it best to shoot another tear pool and then we’ll rotoscope it in later.
Shot 40 original storyboard. we combined all of these into one shot. There’s also a sample of the notes that Anthony had to descipher.

"People In the Mountain, People of the Ocean" is the last song in Jupiter One's latest album. Anthony Scott (Coraline, Corpse Bride) and K Ishibashi (Jupiter One) had always talked about making a stop motion music video together. Anthony being between movies and K being between tours (and Mocha being married to K), they've found that the time is now. Using Mocha's vivid illustrations and off-kilter storytelling ability, they'll be weaving a stop motion manuscript of terror and mystical murder on the Bayou...
well not really, but we'll be posting our behind the scenes progress on this ambitious bi-coastal stop motion music video project between Oakland and New York City. Enjoy!

Anthony is a 20 year veteran of stop motion animation. Having gotten his start in Gumby, he went on animate in Nightmare Before Christmas, and then became the supervising animator in both Corpse Bride and Coraline. K and Mocha are in Jupiter One, a NYC based band on Rykodisc. They've had songs in video games like Madden and Fifa, and on TV and commercials like Greek and Mazda. They recently opened up for Regina Spektor in her North American tour. K met Anthony when he sent him this music video
